Elk Grove, California Photographer. Amazing Julie, Senior 2013!

So, as a mom, I have received my fare share of advice that has come from sage moms like my own, or from friends. There is one overarching fear that has been instilled in me, "the dreaded teen." However, I am just NOT seeing it. I didn't see it when shooting professional teen models. One might say "well of course not, that was their J.O.B." But now having photographed several local teens, I am now convinced, and relieved, that "the dreaded teen" absolutely does NOT exist! It's like the story of walking in snow head high and uphill both ways to the bus. So, my theory is that there is some scheme (I haven't figured it out yet) that wise mothers who have gone through the rigors of raising a child, have developed to scare newbies. Like a right of passage or something.

Ok, enough of my musings and onto my super fun shoot with Julie-a teen, and a beautiful young lady inside and out. She was joined by her friend, sister and her adorable pug. I'm not sure who had more fun, me or them. Julie and Haley are super close in age-so of course it brought back memories of my sister Julie. I don't know what was more funny, the dog's labored breathing, (due to what may have been the longest walk of her life) or the dialogue that ensued between the three girls! You gals are great!

Thank you Julie, teen and all, you're incredible! I hope I fare as well with my own kids!
