It's beginning to look a lot like....

Being a part of a photographer's family is not exactly easy, particularly if you are a child. Since the kids have no critical schedule of their own, and because they are free (sort of), I tend to take full advantage of their faces when testing out new lenses, or new locations. I've completely given up on trying to make them smile-my jokes are totally boring at this point. So what is a mom to do when it is cold outside and there are only 9 days left before Christmas? It's not that I procrastinated per say, but I was really hoping that my son's front tooth would fall out. It's been on the brink for about 2 months-hanging on relentlessly. Visions of two missing front teeth for a holiday photo op diminished upon every attempt to get the pirate-like protrusion out. My son protects it like a mom protects her baby-nothing was getting near that sucker-not even the tooth brush. Alas as time ticked by, I reluctantly relinquished any past ideas, and did a last minute studio shoot. Although the tooth dangles on-the kids kindly posed for me yet again. Thank you my dear children. Happy holidays to everyone!
